Apple Mint Hills, Mole Hill Club:<\/p>\n
In the mid-morning hours, a white robed figure walked boldly into the Mole Hill Night Club.\u00a0 Almost everything on him was the purist white.\u00a0 Shoes, bagged pants, and hood did not produce a hint of color.\u00a0 Orange and blue skin peeked from under his hood.\u00a0 A rust red tint clouded his gloves.\u00a0 He hadn\u2019t been there for a long while, still he knew his way around.\u00a0 He walked straight to the backroom.<\/p>\n
It was a syndicate club.\u00a0 Everyone knew it, and everyone knew not to say it out loud.\u00a0 The crowd was thin this time of day.\u00a0 He ignored the live music and the ladies of entertainment.\u00a0 He had a purpose.\u00a0 It needed to be finished with it as soon as possible.\u00a0 He walked through the kitchen and by the offices to his destination, the one room where a man of great importance sat.<\/p>\n
Two large men in suits blocked the way.\u00a0 They stood closer to each other as he approached, almost standing shoulder to shoulder as he reached them.\u00a0 They were only doing their job.\u00a0 But as Manna pulled back his hood and looked up to them, the cold stare told them he would finish them quickly if they delayed him much longer, \u201cI\u2019m expected.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo weapons,\u201d one of the guards said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey!\u00a0 Let him through,\u201d yelled a voice from inside the office, \u201cI don\u2019t need any more hurt men.\u201d<\/p>\n
At Bluegill\u2019s order, the two men slowly separated.\u00a0 This wasn\u2019t fast enough so Manna yanked them apart with his magnetism skills.\u00a0 One on Manna’s\u00a0right\u00a0was pulled by his belt buckle, the other by his wrist watch.\u00a0 With them out of the way and a little disoriented, Manna walked into the room without looking at them.<\/p>\n
Bluegill was sitting on his chair, it was almost a throne.\u00a0 He was an average height male with yellow green skin.\u00a0 He wore the most expensive and pressed suit in the Thousand Flowers area, Manna knew that much.\u00a0 His defining feature was the two large blue patches on the sides of his neck.<\/p>\n
At entering the room, Manna bowed at the hip to Bluegill then proceeded to the center of the room.\u00a0 For a matter like this, a phone call was not good enough.\u00a0 He had to talk to Bluegill face to face though he didn\u2019t like being there one bit.\u00a0 “Greetings Bluegill,\u201d he started, \u201cThank you for allowing me to pay back the money that I owed you in such a short time.\u00a0 I do not speak for Guy, though we were caught in the same situation.”<\/p>\n
“Manna, my man.\u00a0 No worries, no bad blood.\u00a0 You did a good number on those goons.”<\/p>\n
“Yes, that is why I came to talk to you.\u00a0 In the interest of safety I had to defend myself against a some men that wanted to speak to Guy.\u00a0 I wanted you to know that this was in no way meant as an offense against you.”<\/p>\n
Bluegill chuckled to himself, \u201cDon\u2019t even think about those idiots.\u00a0 I told them to collect or give a message.\u00a0 I know those guys a bit aggressive but good hard workin\u2019 guys.\u00a0 So I say, \u2018talk, only talk but make sure he don\u2019t forget,\u2019 then, they try to scare someone.\u00a0 Not what I told \u2018em.\u00a0 The new guys, they always want to impress me.\u00a0 Your costume still works I see.”<\/p>\n
Manna believed what he heard.\u00a0 If Bluegill was one thing, he was honest.\u00a0 Of course, the things he didn\u2019t say were always open to interpretation.\u00a0 “Yes,\u201d Manna said with respect, \u201cThe way they spoke to me, I figured they didn’t know me.”<\/p>\n
“They do now,” Bluegill said laughing.\u00a0 “They came in here cryin\u2019.\u00a0 They never thought a ‘Green Child’ would smash in teeth.\u00a0 That clown talked too much anyways.\u00a0 I was trying to find a way to teach him to listen.\u00a0 Now he don’t have a choice.”<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for your understanding,\u201d Manna said as he prepared to leave the room.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey stay a while, have some coffee,\u201d Bluegill said, \u201cWe can talk a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n
