As they kept walking through West Drop, Kiley kept phasing out of vision.\u00a0 About every thirty seconds he would vanish completely only to slowly phase back.\u00a0 He\u2019d reappear; keeping pace as though nothing had happened.\u00a0 Others on the street had to notice this spectacle.\u00a0 Brisa\u2019s eyes darted around each time he disappeared.\u00a0 No one on the street seemed to care but since he<\/em> was leading her<\/em> to the Kinetic-Potential Talent School.\u00a0 It was getting annoying.<\/p>\n

After about six minutes of this, she had to ask, \u201cWhy do you keep doing that?\u201d<\/p>\n

He turned around, walking backwards to address her, \u201cThat droid is still up there,\u201d he said pointing up and behind her.\u00a0 He disappeared again and continued, \u201cWhyever it\u2019s following you, I don\u2019t want it to start tracking me<\/em> too.\u201d\u00a0 The ghost of his image started phasing back into her vision.\u00a0 He was walking forward again right next to her now as he said, \u201cI\u2019m throwing it off of my track.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brisa looked back again.\u00a0 Up down all around, she couldn\u2019t see it.\u00a0 \u201cHow do we get rid of it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Kiley thought a bit before answering.\u00a0 \u201cWell, usually those things aren\u2019t sturdy.\u00a0 They use energy to float and for defense.\u00a0 All we have to do is hit it hard enough to get through its energy fields.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brisa looked at Kiley expectantly.\u00a0 After a few paces she thought he would hit it with something.\u00a0 Seeing that he didn\u2019t, she thought she\u2019d speed up the process, \u201cWell?\u201d<\/p>\n

It took a while Kiley to get the hint.\u00a0 \u201cOh,\u201d he said surprised, \u201cI<\/em> can\u2019t hit it.\u00a0 It\u2019s way too high for me to jump,\u201d he looked at Brisa noting that she was not convinced, \u201cand my ranged weapons are too weak to do any damage.\u00a0 They\u2019d just bounce off its deflector and\u2026 yeah.\u00a0 But I can see<\/em> it because of my talents and perception.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brisa remembered the perception Hanja on her mask.\u00a0 She should be able to see a great deal more than usual.\u00a0 If she couldn\u2019t see it, his natural perception had to be incredible.\u00a0 \u201cOk, so we have to wait,\u201d she said looking at where Kiley\u2019s voice had just came from.\u00a0 He was gone; yet again.\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 Again?<\/em>\u00a0 Her eyes expressed her frustration at talking to nothing once more.\u00a0 She was equally shocked when a casually loud voice came from the empty air she was looking through.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe you can find a skill that will help you in here,\u201d Kiley said as he was phasing back into her view, \u201cThe Caster Talent School is in there too,\u201d he said pointing at the strange building in front of them, \u201cMaybe you can hit it with your large axe-hammer thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brisa thought about the maul Catlin got and enchanted for her.\u00a0 She\u2019d have to thank Catlin; if she ever decided to talk to her again.\u00a0 Brisa looked up at the school.\u00a0 This is a school?<\/em><\/p>\n

The large building looked more like a mystic\u2019s night club; or a giant playground.\u00a0 The rounded walls made the building look like someone squished a bunch of giant clay balls together. The painter had<\/em><\/strong> to be completely<\/em> color blind and the spinning orbs floating above closely resembled disco balls.\u00a0 The fact that they floated was the only indication that there could be anything to learn here.<\/p>\n

Brisa had to be certain, \u201cThis is a school.\u201d\u00a0 It was meant as a question.\u00a0 However, her voice reflected severe doubt.\u00a0 From this building, she\u2019d have trouble believing it was a school even if she was met by a welcoming committee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the school,\u201d Kiley told her.\u00a0 To prove it, he walked with her up to the circled window to watch the students practicing the Kinetic-Potential techniques.<\/p>\n

Brisa still didn\u2019t believe him completely but she had no choice but to see for herself.\u00a0 After thanking him, she headed for what looked like the entrance.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re welcome,\u201d Kiley said eagerly, \u201cGood luck in the tournament!\u201d<\/p>\n
