So much for <\/span><\/i>that<\/span> idea.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The high pitched motor to the rear was unmistakable. \u00a0Metcalf was just a few turns ahead of a speeder and had a pretty good idea what the driver intended. \u00a0She went into a sprint to gain ground on her pursuer. \u00a0It was working but the walls and turns came up that much faster.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uhh\u2026 Left turn<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Speed training in armor didn\u2019t seem a useful lesson during classes, but now her half hearted participation was greatly rewarded. \u00a0She had learned to use her motion energy skills to push herself faster while running. \u00a0She moved quite well before in her armor. \u00a0Her current suit was cloth-like; made for stealth. \u00a0She managed wondrous speeds, but there was a slight problem. \u00a0With the maze of alleyways and vacant streets, she had next to no time between seeing a wall and turning to avoid running into it. \u00a0And, as realistic as her current <\/span>test<\/span><\/i> was, there was most likely a <\/span>stiff<\/span><\/i> punishment if she failed even once.<\/span><\/p>\n

Right juke, Forward<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t know exactly how fast she was going. \u00a0She did know she was running out of time. \u00a0There was no audible alarm but the bots were most likely on high alert. \u00a0This meant there would be a trap waiting somewhere. \u00a0Hopefully, it was in the wrong place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Left wall run, Right turn<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

There was so little time to chose a turning direction as the walls approached. \u00a0It was too important that she keep moving and not back track.<\/span><\/p>\n

Right turn. \u00a0WALL!! \u00a0Right turn<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

But, it was also quite important that she make it to the rally point on time. \u00a0The map on her visor was always there. \u00a0As always, it directed correctly but she was primarily concerned with the ever present walls appearing out of nowhere. \u00a0When she had time to choose a direction, she went the way that made the most sense to be the correct. \u00a0However, she often saw the location beacon behind her. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Great! \u00a0Wrong way again<\/span><\/i>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hopefully, her wrong turns confused her pursuers as well. \u00a0It would be the worst to run headlong into blaster fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

The state of the art cloaking suit was keeping up with the street patterns. \u00a0It was changing colors so quickly, that it appeared a lightening shade of grey to her.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daylight was starting to become a real problem. \u00a0With more light, there were more colors. \u00a0With more colors, there was more work for the suit. \u00a0It was already getting warm again. \u00a0It was only a matter of time before it got hot. \u00a0She could not continue like this. \u00a0Metcalf needed an idea; hopefully one that works.<\/span><\/p>\n

Left tur\u2026 HARD Left<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

She hit an impressively hard turn and watched the map on her visor spin. \u00a0After the corrective turn, an idea was fully formed. \u00a0Finding the perfect four point intersection ahead, she leapt into the air and hovered for the briefest of moments. \u00a0Her sleeves were already slightly opened. \u00a0She duplicated the wind transfer from before but pointed her right sleeve to the sky and her left sleeve to the ground and intensified it into a blast . \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The blast caused her to spin unexpectedly fast and lifted her into the air. \u00a0Dust and debris kicked up from the ground in a large cloud that spread as an explosion from her intersection. \u00a0The action caught her off guard but did not overwhelm her thanks to her Crisho wings. \u00a0Landing slightly dizzied she blew the dust off of her feet with her motion skills. \u00a0Her disorientation training came into play as she began running in what her visor stated was the correct direction. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDusk! \u00a0Eyes Up!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWha?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

WHOOOSSH<\/em><\/p>\n

Mahari\u2019s warning came too late. \u00a0Dusk\u2019s tunnel-visioned pursuit turned\u00a0his bot’s speeder directly into the dust explosion. \u00a0Knocked off kilter as random bits of debris flew into the speeder\u2019s air intake Dusk was unable to correct the speeder\u2019s orientation from the controls in the factory. \u00a0Dusk was too familiar with this sight as his remote station shut off and then reset his controls to another bot flying in a far off patrol.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mahari saw the explosion from the roofs and went to investigate. \u00a0Tuning into all the scans available, he searched the epicenter of the blast. \u00a0It was illogical for someone to stay there after such an event. \u00a0However, this one was clever. \u00a0She may be counting on that assumption. <\/span><\/p>\n

After a thorough search of the area, he realized that he had guessed wrong and lost several precious seconds in the process. \u00a0Angrily, he continued in the general direction she seemed to be going since they left the factory.<\/span><\/p>\n
